The Elna Zipper Foot Concealed Adjustable is used to fit invisible zips. Good quality ready to wear garments will often have an invisible zip fitted.
These zippers are often neglected by the home dressmaker which is a pity because they can ensure success every time. Invisible zips are suitable for all fabrics from fine silk jersey through to suit weight wool and tweeds.
The key is to get the needle as close to the fastener as possible, which this foot accomplishes by slightly unrolling the zipper just before the needle. Once fitted, a well sewn invisible zipper will merely look like part of the seam.
Elna has been a Janome-owned brand since 2006 and the Elna and Janome Accessories are now interchangeable.
Which Zipper Foot Concealed Adjustable is right for my Elna Machine?
First you need to check your machine’s stitch width category – group A, B, C or D.

This foot is only available for Group A – 5mm Stitch Width machines – part no. 941 800 000
For Group B – 7mm Stitch Width Low Shank, Group C – 7mm Stitch Width High Shank and Group D – 9mm Stitch Width use the Elna Zipper Foot Concealed.
