The Elna Sliding Buttonhole Foot J makes it very easy to produce identical buttonholes.
With the help of the red guide lines that are on the side of the foot, you will be able to precisely measure the size of your buttonhole.
Mark where you want the buttonhole to be on your fabric, then place the fabric under the foot with the first red line level with the beginning of the buttonhole.
The Elna Sliding Buttonhole Foot J can be used on all 5mm Janome (and Elna) sewing machines that feature a standard 4 step buttonhole. It is often not standard issue with these machines, but can be safely used and will enhance your sewing experience.
