Description
Janome Universal Sewing Machine Needles are used for general sewing of most woven fabrics.
Janome Universal Sewing Machine Needles are available in sizes 9, 11, 12 and 14.
- Size 9 is for very light weight fabric – chiffon, georgette, fine lace, net, tulle etc
- Size 11 is for light weight fabric – batiste, lawn, voile, gingham etc
- Size 12 or 14 is for medium weight fabric – muslin, poplin, gabardine, broadcloth, linen, velvet, patchwork piecing
Janome Universal Needles are also known as Sharp Needles which refers to the fact that the needles have a sharp point.
The word Sharp is used to distinguish these Universal needles from Ball Point needles which have a rounded point. Ball point needles are recommended for sewing with stretch fabrics like jersey, double knit, interlock, fleecy etc
